Property Tax Stabilization

• NO INCREASE IN PROPERTY TAX FOR AT LEAST THE NEXT TWO YEARS
• DISCONTINUE THE MVCC  PROPERTY TAX SURCHARGE

 Property Tax stabilization is the most important goal moving forward because the residents of New Hartford often pay the highest  property taxes in the county.    
Although Oneida County ranks 50th out of the 57 counties with the lowest property tax per capita.   It’s unrealistic to tell the residents of New Hartford that our county property taxes are one of the lowest in the state.   

Alone with very tight budgeting ,one of the reasons that we can achieve NO INCREASE is because of the recent agreement with the Oneida Indian Nation.
